     It is a franchise where you operate as the Man-In-The-Office, in your personal demarcated area. 
All parcels & documents that come in via the state network of 'hubs' for delivery, outgoing parcels to be picked up at the end of the day for state or national  delivery are hosted by the depot. This is then co-ordinated with the Man-In-The-Office Franchisees by the Operations teams in the depots.

Amrita courier  franchisees are actual couriers. You operate from your own office and usually start out with one vehicle in the area until there is the opportunity to expand. Franchisees market and "work" their own areas. The area is determined by the Franchisor and the Franchisee depending on the availability has the exclusive right to a particular area. Mail shots, local advertising, good contacts, and simply knocking on doors are all ways to bring your services to the attention of local businesses. The Franchisee must supply the Franchisor with at least 10 leads or potential customers in a month. These leads will then be followed up by the sales representatives who will open accounts for customers.

What does cost

Costs for a courier franchise will be starting from Rs (20,000 to Rs 1,00,000) (VAT Inclusive), this covers the following:

·         Office should be minimum "90 - 100 Sqft " so that space is available for sorting of documents and booking

·         Booking counter should be there

·         You have to play an important role in booking as well as Delivery purpose

·         You should have Delivery boys atleast one and Office staff for Booking

·         Computer should be there. [optional for outstation location but for city it is must

·         Landline should be there for future contacts. [optional provided proper contact number is maintained]

Amrita courier  franchise is not difficult to operate at its basic level. It has a low input cost and apart from vehicle maintenance, fuel, telephone and wages expenses are limited. Franchisees can work from office or sales office. Amrita courier  would like franchisees to expand the business enough to require at least one van. This isn't obligatory but there is a certain expectation.

What can I earn?

How much can you earn? As much as you want to! To assist a new franchisee in a new area we guarantee* the income of up to Rs.1,00,000/- for a maximum of period of 6 months while the area is being build. The subsidy amount will be a top-up of the payment generated from the area. This amount is also subject to conditions.* It is a requirement that at least 10 genuine leads or prospective customers be brought in, every month. This will ensure that the area is developed and the business grows. There is only so much one man in one van can do, introducing a second vehicle in the area would be the next step or sell a part of the area off for capital gain. Franchisees that develop their areas can earn a gross income of between Rs.25,000/- – Rs.40,000/- per month.

Waybills collected from the area, the customers that you service, some of them will be the leads that you have brought in.

·         Waybills that you deliver in your area which you have received from the depot and was collected by the other courier franchisees.

·         A commission that is determined on the full invoice (bill) amounts that the customers in your exclusive use area has spent in one month*

Amrita courier  requires its franchisees to have entrepreneurial tendencies as it could earn extra revenue from sub-related services like packaging. Overall, if you take a parcel all the way from pick-up to destination, your margins are going to be higher than if you've just deliver it.

Invoicing is handled centrally and processed twice a month. You as the franchisee will not be responsible for invoicing and also not for the collecting of money. Cash flow is vital for the running of your franchise and you will have to make provision for working capital. Expenses will not be limited to wages, telephone and the maintenance of your vehicle. Overheads are low; speak to the franchise manager, who will help you in planning your cash flow. You will need to know your customers well as to know what their needs are. Losing touch with regular customers should be avoided at all times. Whilst it's good to be canvassing for new contacts and leads all the time it is no excuse for neglecting the existing ones.
The service you and your drivers offer must be impeccable. If the face of your company is rude and surly, companies will not hesitate to go elsewhere - and there is enough choice out there for them to be able to do it. If you have drivers, employees or porters, keeping them happy is very important. These are the people who effectively sell repeat business to your customer base. Motivate drivers by offering bonuses for full attendance and commission on new customers. It is of course vital to be pleasant with customers, but you must back this up with good service. Keep yourself at the forefront of company's minds. After advertising, follow up a few days later with a phone call. If you have regular customers and haven't heard from them in a while get in contact.

It could just be that they haven't needed your services but it could also be that they have found someone else to meet their needs.
